Wedding venues aren’t just a pretty space to say your vows in. It’s the place where you start your forever!! And take it from a San Francisco wedding photographer: your venue? It sets the wholeee energy for the day. So if you’re on the hunt for the best San Francisco wedding venues, close your tabs, because you’ve found it right here. Here’s everything you need to know about planning a wedding at Cavallo Point Lodge in Sausalito!!

Cavallo Point Lodge? It’s something straight out of a dream. With Golden Gate Bridge views and architecture that feels classy and editorial… It’s one you won’t want to miss if you want that serene, classic NorCal feel on your wedding day.
This is one of those San Francisco wedding venues that isn’t just pretty. It also makes days feel easy and effortless. Planning a wedding here is never hard because you can tell that they thought of literally everything there. And as a San Francisco wedding photographer, that’s my fave kind of place to recommend to my couples!!

If you’re planning a wedding at Cavallo Point Lodge, here are all the main deets:

Okay, Cavallo Point Lodge weddings fit literally any wedding style because of all the venue options here. If I’m honest, the hardest part of planning your wedding here will be picking your ceremony and reception sites!!

Chances are, if you’re planning a Cavallo Point Lodge wedding, you want things to feel a little elevated. Because, a space like this?? Yeah, it deserves it!!
This San Francisco wedding venue calls for a very nature-inspired color palette (blues and greens look amazing) and decor that feels natural but still luxe. I picture amaranth bouquets, watercolor seating charts, and a dress that feels effortless, like Kimora by Evie Young.
You can find my Pinterest and my fave 2026 wedding trends here, so that you have all the inspo for decorating your Cavallo Point Lodge wedding!!

This is a venue where time flows really naturally in, so planning a timeline that gives you space to breathe and actually stay present is key! Here’s a sample timeline of what my couples here always follow:
9:00 am: Get ready in one of the hotel rooms on site – there’s plenty of breathing room for some mimosas, a hella good playlist, and tons of excitement!!
1:30 pm: First look + couple’s portraits outside – the light is always too good here, and first looks with these views behind you?? They live rent-free in my brain.
2:30 pm: Wedding party photos around the property
3:00 pm: Rest before the ceremony – take a minute to soak it allll in with your love. It’s the moments like this that make the day feel full of meaning and presence, trust me!!
4:00 pm: Say “I do” in front of your fave people!!
4:30 pm: Take a minute with your partner, then actually enjoy your cocktail hour.
5:30 pm: Reception entrance, special dances, + dinner!!
7:30 pm: Sunset pics, because we can’t miss that golden Cali light.

If you still have some questions about the venue, I’ve got you!! Here are a few things my couples almost always ask me:
NorCal weather is kinda my dream, because it’s gorgeous year-round. If I had to choose the best time of year for a Cavallo Lodge wedding, I’d say late spring to early summer, but I’m also always down for a cozy winter wedding!!

Yep!! When you go through the booking process, be sure to ask about this. Not only will everyone get to be in the same place without transportation stress, but your guests will also get a discount!!

Every wedding is so different that there’s no one answer for this. It fully depends on what package you choose, your guest count, and any sort of add-ons you might have!! You’ll always get the best quote by reaching out to the venue directly, which you can do here.

As your San Francisco wedding photographer, I’ve got you covered here. We’ll get plenty of pics around the actual lodge (for that gorg architecture), plus a TON of photos on the lawn, because the Golden Gate Bridge + bay views are everything!!

Mr. and Mrs. Sudijono planned their Cavallo Point Lodge wedding to be simple, real, and effortless, and that’s exactly how it turned out. You can feel the love from each part of the day in these photos, and don’t even get me started on the party they had!! It was SUCH an honor to document their love in a place as gorgeous as Cavallo Point Lodge.

If you’re as obsessed with Cavallo Point Lodge as I am, let’s make some magic!! You can inquire here about booking me, and we’ll bring your Cavallo Point Lodge wedding vision to life. I can’t wait to meet you, queen!!
