For engagement photos at Hanalei Bay, think movement and intention. Silk that catches the wind. Linen that feels lived-in but elevated. Barefoot or minimal sandals. Hawaii sunsets in the summer?? Nothing compares. That’s my personal favorite time for engagement photos on Hanalei Bay, because it brings that golden haze that feels straight out of a film still. Sunrise is also stunning, and you get more of the beach to yourself!
I always tell my couples taking engagement photos here to come on a weekday. There will be fewer people, which means more room to run, dance, and play around with some fun shots! Parking will also be easier mid-week rather than on a weekend, which is a HUGE plus, trust me.

It had so much space for romance, the weather was literally perfect, and the spots for photos seriously felt unlimited. Even though there were some people around, it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves, which let Abigail and Josiah really show off their personalities. The result felt effortless, romantic, wind-in-your-hair, just-the-two-of-them kind of energy. The kind of gallery that feels like a memory already. And I cannot handle it!!
