Okay, I know how to have a good time (trust me), but I know that being able to relax enough to have a good time comes with a realllly good plan. So, here’s what you need to know to plan your CordeValle wedding beautifully!!

One thing that I LOVE about CordeValle is that everything has a set space, and every space?? Yep. Gorgeous!! 

The Vineyards

Ceremonies take place on the lawns with the vineyards as your backdrop, and I don’t know if my fave part is the soft Cali lighting, the stunning natural scenery, or the way your love fills up the wholeee space. 

Mulberry Grove

After the ceremony, there’s no weird flow or awkward waiting from guests wondering where to go, because CordeValle has it COVEREDDD. Your people get to spend cocktail hour hanging out around the vineyards, wine glasses in their hands, mingling while the sun starts to go down a little more, dancing around to your live band. And yeah… It’s as great as it sounds. 

The Terrace

Once it’s time for dinner, your guests get to make their way over to the Terrace that has the BEST family-style dinner setup where you’re surrounded by natural stone and warm string lights, and this is where that Italian vibe REALLY comes in. 

As a bonus, you get to eat, drink wine, and laugh with your guests throughout dinner while the sun is going down, and it could not be more beautiful. It really has that electric summer night feel that I’ll be forever obsessed with!! 

The Grand Salon

You get to finish out the night dancing inside the Grand Salon, and it has the perfect dance floor and lighting for me to capture direct-flash moments, late-night snacks, and you going crazy to Beyoncé on the dance floor. Love that!!

The Best Time of Year for Weddings at CordeValle Winery

CordeValle Winery is in that perfect spot where the weather is kinda beautiful year-round, so while there’s no right answer, know that each season has its own energy here. 

Spring is perfect for romantic weddings. You get soft light and fresh vineyard views, and an overall pretty dry forecast. Summer is the sweet spot if you’re obsessed with sunset portraits and long nights, because it stays warm basically all night long and it rarely rains!! Fall has gorgeous views and chillier nights (again, with an overall dry climate), and winter is super cozy, despite having the highest chance of precipitation. 

When you’re planning, don’t just base it on vibes; take a look at the weather, what time the sun sets, and how the vineyards look in each of the seasons!! 

Photo Ops at CordeValle

Even though I could totally take pictures of you two for approximately 76 hours here… I won’t. I swear!! 

CordeValle gives us some really great photo ops that make my NorCal photographer brain SO happy. Between the architecture, the lighting, and the views… I’m basically in Heaven!! 

You can expect us to get cinematic couple portraits in the vineyards, family and wedding party shots on the Terrace, solo portraits at the ceremony site, and of course… You headbanging at the wedding reception. Duh.

Design Ideas for a CordeValle Winery Wedding

Wedding design??? Literally my Super Bowl. 

When I’m not photographing weddings, you can probs find me scrolling on Pinterest while taking a break from editing, dreaming of all the weddings I’m GOING to photograph. So, yeah… I know, ball. 

When it comes to designing a CordeValle Winery wedding, you’ve gotta lean into the European energy. Natural materials, organic color palettes, fresh fruit, architectural details… I love it all!! 

For tablescapes, I love things like beige linen tablecloths layered with patterned napkins, candelabras, and grapes running down the table, and for ceremony decor, I’m OBSESSED with grounded florals in a color palette with deep, rich colors, like terracotta, burgundy, olive green, or brown!! 

A huge part of how your wedding looks is your wedding dress, and I always picture intricate, architectural details and structured dresses for a wedding here. Lace ballgowns, layered skirts, and mantilla veils??? I’m actually swooning. 

A Sample Timeline for a Wedding Here

Your wedding timeline is kinda your North Star for the day. That being said… Don’t take this and run with it. Your wedding planner will always tailor a timeline specific to your day, but this is what I see as a good starting point for a day here that feels relaxed and a TON of fun: 

9:00 am: Arrive on-site to get ready with your girls. When I arrive, this is when I’ll take getting-ready shots and detail photos. 

1:00 pm: Your first look, private vows, and couple portraits in the vineyard

2:00 pm: Wedding party + immediate family photos

3:00 pm: Hide away inside while guests arrive for the ceremony (gotta get your big reveal!!)

4:00 pm: Get married… Casual stuff

4:30 pm: Join cocktail hour with your guests

5:30 pm: Move to the reception space for dinner and toasts

7:00 pm: Move inside for the dance floor to open!!
